Requirements to Donate Eggs

Want to make sure you are ready to donate your eggs? Before submitting an egg donor application, please review our minimum qualifications to donate eggs with Fairfax EggBank. Read our readiness assessment.

  • Between the ages of 19 and 30
  • BMI in the range of 18-26 (Calculate your BMI here)
  • Healthy and non-smoking
  • Not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have both ovaries
  • Have regular periods and normal reproductive function
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid work Visa or Green Card
  • Be able to provide detailed medical history for three generations of your family
  • You must live within 2 hours of one of our partnering satellite clinics or enroll in our travel donor program
  • Be willing to self-administer injectable medications and undergo an outpatient procedure
  • Can commit to the process for a minimum of 5 months

Egg Donor Referral Program

After you have become an egg donor and completed your donation cycles, you can stay involved in the egg donation process with our referral bonus program. Share your experience with a friend, and you can earn additional compensation per referral. There’s no limit on how many friends you can refer.

To apply to be an egg donor with Fairfax EggBank, you must be between the ages of 19 and 30.

Are there any egg donor disqualifications?

There are some factors that would temporarily or permanently disqualify you from donating eggs with Fairfax EggBank, such as: 

    • Being younger than 19 or older than 33 
    • Having a BMI over 26 or under 18 (BMI calculator
    • Cigarette or recreational drug use (testing will be done to confirm)
    • Carrier of certain genetic conditions
    • Personal history of infertility 
    • Inability to provide 3 generations of family medical history
    • Lack of reliable transportation 
    • Restrictive personal schedules
