Andy Dorfmann, MS, ELD (ABB)
Scientific Director and General Manager
Something that amuses Andy’s team members whenever they attend conferences is how he seems to know everyone there – it might be attributed to his 35+ years working in the field as a laboratory scientist, clinical embryologist, and cytogenetcist. Andy is the visionary who helped found the Fairfax EggBank in 2006, believing frozen donor eggs held huge potential in revolutionizing the donor egg market. While we see rapid adoption of frozen donor eggs today, back in the early 2000’s the technology was considered very new and experimental at best. Andy’s goal is to make Fairfax EggBank the best option for egg donor recipients and egg donors, by maintaining the highest level of technical and scientific quality and delivering the best customer service possible.
What he loves about his job
“Even after so many years in this field, I get excited about both the technical aspects of embryology as well as the ability to provide a very special and personal service to patients. I derive an incredible feeling of satisfaction when we are successful. My goal is to achieve a level of success and service that provides each patient with the sense that we have done the absolute best we can possibly do for them.”
