Are you an experienced embryologist looking to break away from the schedule and stress of the traditional embryology role? Are you tired of the weekend and holiday work? Are you ready to use your skillset to help improve the quality of embryology services across North America?
Fairfax EggBank (FEB), a division of the Genetics & IVF Institute, is seeking full-time junior- and senior- level embryologists as we expand to support the growing demand for frozen donor eggs.
Positions are available for full-time, on-site roles at our Fairfax, Virginia headquarters. Remote employment opportunities also exist for the right candidate. Remote and onsite positions will both require travel 3-4 times per month. Embryologists will serve as expert consultants in all scientific areas of our business, including embryology, oocyte vitrification, oocyte warming, regulatory affairs, and specimen handling. Reporting directly to the FEB Scientific Director, FEB embryologists will have the opportunity to assist partner clinics with troubleshooting, to perform oocyte vitrification and warming in-house, and to help maintain the quality of our product. The roles will be primarily administrative, with roughly 20% of effort being dedicated to hands-on technical work, and 80% being dedicated to customer interaction, data management, training, and troubleshooting.
The requirement to work on weekends and holidays will be exceedingly rare in these roles, and work will be during normal business hours. Embryologists will work closely with the Embryology Relations Director to provide virtual and on-site training and troubleshooting services at our partner clinics across the United States and Canada. Travel will be required 3-4 times per month, with overnight stays of more than 1 night rarely being necessary. This is a great opportunity to see the country and broaden your skillset through direct interaction with hundreds of embryologists in diverse clinical settings.
Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to talk through technically complex lab issues over phone, email, or videoconferencing. New embryologists will share in our goal to remain at the forefront of the donor gamete industry through exceptional outcomes and customer service.
To apply, please include your resume and cover letter to [email protected] and note Embryologist in the subject line. EOE/M/F/D/V
